At a presentation I gave to a school, the principal told of his experience, also at Animal Kingdom. He told of how the rain had started during their field trip and all the kids had to where ponchos they had to buy. All the ponchos where the same. Keeping track of the kids in the rain and in their ponchos, who now all look alike from their back view, was a nightmare.

In pursuit of the Keep Our Kids Safe initiative, we designed TrackMyKidz and started the journey to build an app designed to help monitor our children and to keep them safe. TrackMyKidz does not only give parents the ability to monitor their children by pinging their location, it also shows parents where their kids are relative to the group they are supposed to be in during an activity. It also helps parents keep tabs on their extra-curricular schedule, helping parents to be more organize with each child’s schedule regardless of the number of children or activities each child is involved in. For schools and organization, documentation of activity and field trip agreement is made electronically without the need for printed papers for parents’ signatures. Chaperones and coaches no longer have to worry or text parents about arrival times since parents are notified automatically. Parents also get notified whether or not their kids are present or absent for the group activity or field trip.
